It is the same device that doesn´t work with my new HP pavilion TX2000.Īny suggestion what i should try next? Btw, few years ago i was selling and repairing PC´s, so i guess that i´m not a Newbie anymore. The funniest thing ist that 1 year ago i had a HP TC 4400 Tablet PC at home and i could successfully boot from my USB-DVD-ROM (LG). I can boot from my USB STICK, and probably from any USB HDD (haven´t tried it yet.), BUT i CAN´T choose an USB-DVD-ROM. But only ATAPI DVD-Rom or NB HDD, but not an USB-DVD-ROM.Īfter connecting an USB-STICK on my USB port and pressing the F9 button, suddenly a 3 BOOT option appeared. That´s very strange!!!īy pressing the F9 button i can choose the Boot device. My brother has an ACER NB and i could boot from my USB-Device. But i still can´t boot from my USB-DVD-ROM. The problem ist, that in Bios settings i can only choose USB STICK, USB floppy, USB HDD, ATAPI/DVD, Notebook Hdd and Network booting.Īfter restarting my NB and pressing the ESC button for detailed information about RAM, CPU, HDD and so on, i can see my USB-DVD-ROM before vista is booting.
